A great public library is not possible through public funding alone.
The Walnut Creek Library Foundation is leading the campaign to raise private funds for the new library – to make the difference between an adequate library and a library that truly meets the needs of the community for today and for generations to come.
Established in 1998 as a public nonprofit organization, the Foundation has raised funds to to provide enhanced programs and collections for both the Walnut Creek and Ygnacio Valley libraries. In 2004, the Foundation raised funds to help renovate the Ygnacio Valley Library.
