  • Legal firms believe that planned changes to the legal system will significantly reduce access to justice in 2012. The changes in question relate to the ‘Legal Aid, Sentencing and Punishment of Offenders Bill’ which is due to be passed by Parliament this spring. It is argued that the changes will make it more appealing for defendants to go to trial and put more financial strain on claimants, who are often the less well off of the two parties.
