Sponsored by the Library Foundation and Mechanics Bank, the afternoon showcased the variety of programs for children that will be possible in the new library. Highlighting the afternoon was famed children's author and Caldecott winner Robert D. Souci, who read from two of his books, Two Bear Cubs and The Talking Eggs. Performances by the PT Puppets and Germar the Magician rounded out the afternoon.
